Selecting the proper size rod carrier
Along with the three types of carriers (QuadRodz®, TriRodz®, BiRodz®), there are TWO sizes available for each. The two sizes are S/M (small/medium) and M/L (medium/large).
The appropriate size is determined by the LARGEST diameter of the rod blank. This is usually right above the rod grip.
The guidelines for choosing the correct size are as follows:
- S/M is used for rod blank diameters of .625” (16mm) and smaller.
(Mostly freshwater & inshore fishing. Small spinning rods, fly rods, jigging rods, small bait casting rods.) - M/L is used for rod blank diameters of .625” (16mm) and larger.
(Mostly saltwater and offshore fishing. Trolling, bottom fishing, large spinning rods and live bait rods.)
